A Christmas Surprise

Hey friends (and I hope fellow voters),

I hope this post finds you doing well.  I also hope that you have taken advantage of early voting or are going to vote tomorrow.  It is such a privilege to be able to vote for the way our country will go.  Take advantage of it.  A lot of people don’t tell you who they vote for.  I am going to and tell you why.  I voted for Trump.  Was he my first choice?  Nope.  But I certainly think he has made some wise decisions about who he has chosen as his vice president and who his picks for supreme court justices might be.  That is a big deal to me.  These next 4 years are going to tremendously affect the way our country is ran and viewed.  Please vote and make your “voice” heard.

Now back to the fun part of the post – scrapping.

Matthew's first Christmas. Awww!

Matthew’s first Christmas. Awww!

I should have put something like “Matthew’s first Christmas” on the page.  I didn’t – oh well.

I started with a very simple piece of Christmas paper that had the words in Spanish to the Christmas song, “Feliz Navidad” running across the bottom.  I didn’t want to cover that up but I wanted to spice up the page.  I then got a fancy piece of Christmas paper (glittery gifts) and attached the picture to it.  I put it on the bottom right corner of the page.  I then trimmed down  the paper to leave a border on the top and left side of the picture.  I attached it to the Feliz Navidad paper.  I then took a strip of the extra glittery paper and catty cornered it across the page.  I trimmed off the extra.  Finally, I wrote the date that the picture was taken and added a few Christmas stickers on either side.

I walked  through Ross the other day and by the time I left I realized that I am starting to get in the mood for Christmas.  Yea!

God bless!

  1. I like how you used the glitter paper to accent the picture, and the stickers match. Matthew looks cute in his Christmas box. And Abby is happy too. I haven’t been to Ross yet, Might have to take Gma on a outing soon.

  2. Christmas is coming. Not many days left and I have very little shopping done. No decorations up either. I try to do that early so can have time to wrap gifts and things. Never seems to work out. I may do some shopping at Ross. You and Tim showed me where it was. I really like it. Happy Jolly page of the kids at Christmas. Like all the presents and glitter. Little Jack in the box and a little monkey jumps out. Abby looks so proud of her baby brother. Yes, we voted early. We got in and out in like ten minutes. Couldn’t believe it. The Supreme Court is the main reason for voting for Trump. No time for Hillary and four more years of deceitfulness. Like Pence also. A nice Christian man. Hope all goes well for all of us.
