Ribbons, Ribbons, Everywhere!

Hi friends,

Today I made a really colorful layout.  It is even more awesome than I anticipated!  Love it!

I started with a piece of dark tan cardstock.  I had a cute paper strip to go across the top and another one for the bottom.  I went ahead and adhered them.  Then I started layering ribbons all the way down the page.  I adhered them about 3/4 the way over (and I wrapped the ribbons to the back side of the page on the left side – I adhered them on the back of the cardstock).  Then I trimmed the ribbons in different manners.  Some were straight, some slanted, and others cut in a v.  On two pieces of wide denim ribbon I wrapped it all the way around and adhered it on the back on both sides.  Then I tied a bow made of white twine around all the loose ends of ribbon.  I tied it at different intervals.  Finally, using a line adhesive, I adhered the end of the ribbon – from the tied on bow on – to the cardstock.

After the ribbons were done I matted the picture that I wanted to put on the page and adhered it onto the ribbons/cardstock.  I added another embellishment that I have been waiting for the perfect layout.  It is a spinner that says “I LOVE this” and points at different words.  I pointed it at the word FAMILY.

I love how it turned out.  And I love this family.  Now they’ve added another sweet boy to their group.  🙂

I hope your day is beautiful!

God bless!

  1. Bet it was fun picking out all the different ribbons you wanted. You did a good job. Abby looks pretty peaceful. They should make big strollers for us big people. I wouldn’t mind a walk in the park being pushed. The little white hearts on black paper. shows off the camera. The ripped paper at the top says it’s just another beautiful day, no big deal. Cute idea. The little strings says not to forget this time. You know, tied around your finger. A perfect page for a perfect picture and a perfect family.
