Today I am making a baby shower layout. I am making a banner that is similar to others I have made in the past but it does have a little difference. The banner has an adhesive lace fabric tape that holds it together. Not only is it pretty but it made the job super easy.
To create the banner I punched out several pendent triangles using four different pattern papers. I then figured out which background decorative cardstock I wanted to use. I didn’t want it too bold but I love the cutsie baby paper. Once I settled on the diaper stacks (because everyone gets diapers at a baby shower) I started laying the pendants down to see where I wanted them placed and what order I wanted them in. After I figured that out I adhered them to the page. The first and last pendant hung over the edge so I trimmed the extra off. I then placed the adhesive lace fabric tape across the top edge of the banner. I didn’t cut the end until I was sure how long I needed it. I also didn’t tear off the paper that covered the adhesive until it was back in place over what was left to save for the next project. I then added a cutie little teddy bear and bootie to the ends of the banner.
To finish the layout I matted two pictures and layered one over the other. Then, I just added stickers – presents, Mom-to-Be, Baby Shower, and You are a special child of God. So cute!
Hope you enjoyed the new take on an old idea!
