Pretty Fall Flowers

Today I wanted to make sure to have plenty of journaling space on the layout.  I thought it would be nice to be able to write on lines so that everything would be straight so I decided to use the decorative lined cardstock.  I only had it in 8 1/2″x11″ so I adhered it to brown cardstock.  The brown cardstock had a lot of texture in it, too.  I then adhered a Fall border on the bottom of the page.

I then matted the picture on two pieces of decorative paper.  One of them was about families.  I then decided it was time to make fall flowers.  I was using the scallop punches for the petals and then the round punches for the center of the flowers.  I adhered them to the page with brads.

After that I journaled about the “story” and listed everyone who was there.  I added a few tags and a “precious” sticker.

With the fall flowers I covered some scrolling, words, and stars that were on the decorative lined cardstock.

  1. Lots of family to show their love to Abby. It is a bountiful harvest. All the fall colors in the flowers is pretty. Little leaves show the season. A lucky little girl to have such a large family, on both sides. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have the entire families together for a great Thanksgiving dinner? Wishful thinking I guess.
