Big Hexagon Fun!

Merry Christmas, Friends!

Today we are having so much Christmas fun!  We are going down to fill baskets at our church and this evening we are having a Christmas Eve service outside!  I can’t believe I live some place where that is possible!

Today I am using my bigger (2″) hexagon punch and creating a border for the left side of my layout.  I used two different shades of pink paper and then two different kinds of decorative paper to punch out the hexagons.  I used a white piece of cardstock (approximately 11 1/2″x3 1/2″ to use as the background to put the hexagons on.  I started putting the hexagons in a line and then I began filling in right beside the line.  I did this until the border page was filled (and hexagons were hanging over the edge in several places).  I trimmed off the excess hexagons by turning the paper over and trimming – this makes for a more exact cut.  I then glued (with fast dry adhesive) the border on, matted the pictures, and glued the pictures on.  Finally, I went sticker happy and added a sticker to every solid hexagon.  I then created a title using alpha stickers and a cute mama and baby elephant sticker.  This is a busy page – hopefully not too busy!

  1. Cute page idea again! Like how you incorporated the little baby items in the hexagons. Looks like you are finding a lot of good ways to use this punch.

  2. Stripes, Plaids, and lots of cute baby things. I remember Amber carrying Abby around like that. In my day it was hands, arms, and a tired back. I was born way too early. Rattles, pins, and socks OH MY. Don’t forget the little hidden camera. Where’s Waldo? A real fun page.
