A Rediscovered Treasure

I was moving books, notebooks, files, and stuff on a bookshelf that my husband uses.  I opened a notebook and found pictures and slides from when my son, Ben, was taking photography classes at his high school.  What I love about the pictures are knowing these are some of the things that were important to him during that two year period of his life.  Here are some of the pictures.

I think this is my nephew (he must have been going to a dance). If I am wrong I would love for someone to tell me. :)

The class had them take pictures with different perspectives and then they developed the pictures using different techniques.

It was a fun treasure to find.  I scanned the pictures that I put in this post and now have them in a safe place.  Oh, happy day!  Hope your day is happy!

God bless!

  1. Ben has real talent in picture taking. He should start him a little scrap book. I notice the pictures tells a little story of his life. His love of music–his home town–his pets–his adventures–his love of his family. I really like the elephant picture. It looks like he is standing on a water fall. I can see how it won first place. The one picture looks like Joe. Did he go through a “western” phase? Funny how Tim is interested in track and you have one of Joe running. So glad you found these pictures.

  2. Joe had broken his arms in 2005 (it was right as HMS basketball was starting, so probably Oct?) and he went to church at West Haysville Baptist Church and the youth group went to Towne West in Wichita to put on some human videos, and they did Carman’s “Satan, bite the Dust.” He played the demon bartender. (red cast help? lol). The track pic – idk. Must have been spring 2006 with HMS.
