Project Life Week 27 (part 2)

Hello guys and gals (mostly gals),

Moving on with PL.  I have a lot more of these where this is coming from.

Finishing week 27.

Finishing week 27.

Most of this page is from another day at the park.  When you have two kids during the summer it kills a lot of time, uses a lot of energy, and just makes life a lot more enjoyable to go to the park.  The second small picture is of a birds nest I found when taking down a hanging plant to throw away.  The last small picture and the bottom one is a new, fun recipe that I found on Facebook.

You grill hotdogs.  Prepare cornbread.  Put the grilled hotdogs onto the prepared cornbread and cook until the cornbread is done.  I had already made homemade chili.  I cut up the hotdogs/cornbread combination and put it on a plate.  Topped it with chili.  Finally, I added cheese and sour cream.  Yum!

That is all for now.

God bless!

Project Life Week 27

Hello fellow Indians and pilgrims,

I don’t know if it is proper to say indians any more.  I never found anything offensive by it but I am not always in the know.

Celebrating America!

Celebrating America!

Kind of funny I salutated with names related to Thanksgiving and in the PL album I am scrapping the 4th of July.  Such is life.  🙂

The first slot is my week 27 card that I made.  I used a July sticker since this is the first layout with July stuff.  I have been trying to do that more consistently in this album.  I used yellow letters to spell week and the clear acrylic disc with the gold numbers 2 and 7 to clarify that it is week 27.  I put stickers and border stickers on the card to make it a little more 4th of Julyish.

The top right picture is of yum that I made.  We all love fruit but my granddaughter Abby loves her strawberries and blueberries best so we piled them on.

The first small slot is of fireworks.  The second small slot is just a plain PL card.  The third small slot is a PL memory card that I wrote on about our day.  The last small slot is of Matthew with his face covered in the yum.  🙂

The bottom row is of us watching fireworks.  We found a good spot last year to watch that was close to home.  We went again this year and it was just as good.

That is all for the day.

God bless!

Finishing Up PL Week 26

Hi friends,

I intended on posting every day this week.  That didn’t happen.  Life did. Doctor appointments, birthdays, food poisoning….  Some of that will be in PL eventually.

Today I am finishing up a long week.  A lot happened.  A lot of fun!

The ending of a big week.

The ending of a big week.

The first picture was taken in my car.  It is of the birthday present that Ben and Amber got me.  It is a taser gun.  They know that I travel here and there quite a bit (North Carolina and KS are two favorites).  Often I am by myself.  They wanted to make sure that I am safe.  Isn’t that sweet?

Three of the pics are of the kids playing at their favorite park.  We have a lot of pictures taken at this park.

The first small slot is a PL card.  I wrote about all of the pics (except the bottom left one).  I put a sticker that says fun in the sun and I put arrow stickers on the card, too.

The second small card is a PL card that I did nothing to.

The bottom left picture is a throwback picture of my brother Greg and his son.  He text it to me and I printed it off.  It was at my parents house.  Neither of my parents are with us anymore and their house is someone else’s house.  This picture brings back a lot of memories.  I explained the picture in the bottom small slot.  I put a sticker on a PL card.  I wrote on the sticker with white ink.  I added a camera sticker and basketball stickers.

That is all for PL week 26.  Finally!

God bless!

Twenty-One Pilots Concert (part II)

Hey y’all!

Hope your weekend was wonderful!  I wanted to finish the Twenty-one Pilots concert in PL.  It was such a fun time.

We got pretty close to the singer at one point of the concert. I got fantastic pictures.

We got pretty close to the singer at one point of the concert. I got fantastic pictures.

The first picture is Tyler getting ready to climb up the pole right in front of us.

The top right picture is when he is almost to the top.

The first small slot is a picture of Tim watching the concert.

The second small picture is of the stage.

The third small slot is when Tyler was climbing on the top.

The last slot is when he was up on top and standing straight.

The large slots on the bottom row are close ups of Tyler.  They are awesome!

That is it for the concert.  Tomorrow – new topic.

God bless!

Twenty-One Pilots Concert

Hello amigos,

Back in June, Tim and I went to Greensboro and picked up Tim’s girlfriend.  We then went to Raleigh to a Twenty-One Pilots concert.  They are such a fun group.

A fun time!

A fun time!

The tickets were just printed out at home.  I saved them and cut out the main information and attached it to a PL card.  I saved a tag from a pair of pants that said “twentyone”.  I attached it to the top of the PL card with adhesive and a brad of an airplane.  I then added clear circle stickers to make the word “pilots”.

The right large picture is of Tim and his gal pal when we first arrived.  I put an acrylic card in front of the picture that says “I am in love with today”.

The first small slot tells about the concert.  It wasn’t a perfect night.  It was an outside arena.  It stormed.  The concert was called off for a while.  We went to the parking garage to wait.  It started again.  It was wonderful but not as long as it would have been otherwise.

The second small slot is of the crowd looking from the parking garage.

The third small slot is a PL card.

The last small slot is a picture I put on  PL card.  The top of the PL card says “Favorite”.  Tyler, the group singer, is on a pole like thing right in front of us.  AWESOME!

The bottom left picture is a selfie – everyone needs to remember that I was at the concert, too.  🙂

Finally, the last picture on the page is the view right in front of us.  We didn’t have a very good view of the stage.  But….we did have the pole right in front of us that Tyler climbed and sang a song from.  Payoff.

That is it for now.

Hope your weekend it wonderful!

God bless!

Project Life Week 26

I was going for a traditional go vote picture but this one caught my attention.  Ha ha!

Today I am going back to PL.  Want to try and sort of get caught up.  I know from past experience that I probably won’t get caught up.

The starting of a large week 26 layout.

The starting of a large week 26 layout.

The top and bottom rows are Matthew on the last day of one of the VBS’.  The firetruck came and sprayed water after the program on this day, too.  Abigail went to the VBS but she missed the last day because she had dental work done.  The dentist went ahead and tapped out the top two teeth because they were SO loose.  The first small picture shows Abs after the dental appointment with her gappy smile. The second small slot is a PL journaling car with the clear acrylic circle and a gold 26 for week 26.  I wrote “week” and about all of the pictures.  The 3rd small slot has a picture taken at Kirklands.  It is a picture of the initials BTK.  If you aren’t from KS they probably don’t have much significance.  But in KS there was a serial Killer known as the BTK Killer.  He eventually got caught.  The initials stand for bind, torture, and kill.  CREEPY!  The last small slot is of a fantastic burger that Brad got (I just noticed all that bacon).

Pretty simple layout.  I have been taking so many pictures it is hard to choose which ones make the cut.

God bless!

A Christmas Surprise

Hey friends (and I hope fellow voters),

I hope this post finds you doing well.  I also hope that you have taken advantage of early voting or are going to vote tomorrow.  It is such a privilege to be able to vote for the way our country will go.  Take advantage of it.  A lot of people don’t tell you who they vote for.  I am going to and tell you why.  I voted for Trump.  Was he my first choice?  Nope.  But I certainly think he has made some wise decisions about who he has chosen as his vice president and who his picks for supreme court justices might be.  That is a big deal to me.  These next 4 years are going to tremendously affect the way our country is ran and viewed.  Please vote and make your “voice” heard.

Now back to the fun part of the post – scrapping.

Matthew's first Christmas. Awww!

Matthew’s first Christmas. Awww!

I should have put something like “Matthew’s first Christmas” on the page.  I didn’t – oh well.

I started with a very simple piece of Christmas paper that had the words in Spanish to the Christmas song, “Feliz Navidad” running across the bottom.  I didn’t want to cover that up but I wanted to spice up the page.  I then got a fancy piece of Christmas paper (glittery gifts) and attached the picture to it.  I put it on the bottom right corner of the page.  I then trimmed down  the paper to leave a border on the top and left side of the picture.  I attached it to the Feliz Navidad paper.  I then took a strip of the extra glittery paper and catty cornered it across the page.  I trimmed off the extra.  Finally, I wrote the date that the picture was taken and added a few Christmas stickers on either side.

I walked  through Ross the other day and by the time I left I realized that I am starting to get in the mood for Christmas.  Yea!

God bless!

Christmas Buddies

Hi fall buddies,

Hope this finds you doing wonderfully!  A few more traditional layouts and then back to PL for a bit.

Brother and sister.

Brother and sister.

A pretty easy layout.  I found some fun Christmas paper.  I matted a picture after I rounded the corners.  I attached a border sticker about 1/3 of the way over on the paper to create a border.  I put a tag that says “joy” onto the bottom of the border.  I then added 3 tree stickers.  I traced around them with a gold pen.  I also added stickers around the tag and traced around them, too.  I made another tag out of a PL card.  I wrote the date on it and matted it.  I attached it to the top of the border.  Finally, I adhered the photo.  Wha La.  I am done.

Hope to see you tomorrow!

God bless!

Beach Time Boy

This doesn’t come from Hawaii but from the beach.  Trying to think of a new way to say hi everyday is difficult.

Cuteness (times 2).

Cuteness (times 2).

This is for Matthew’s album but one of the pictures has Abby in it, too.  I matted all the photos.  On some I rounded the corners of the matting, on some I kept them square, on some I rounded the corners of the pictures, some I kept square, and finally, on the bucket I trimmed around the top of the bucket on the picture and then trimmed around the picture on the matting.

The background is part of a page that I had cut apart using it on another layout.  The paper had two gold ribbons attached to it.  I then attached the partial background paper to a piece of blue cardstock.  I attached a border sticker that I had also dissected.  It had the words “Hittin’ the” and then I added big, curvy, multi colored letters that say “beach”.  The partial border sticker had a boat so I added another boat sticker at the other end.  I also wrote 2016 down below it.

I attached the pictures making the bucket twisted a bit.  I added a a cute sticker in between all of the pictures that says, “Good time for summer days”.  Perfect for a beach layout.

That is all!

God bless!

It’s Movie Time

Hi guys,

As promised on the last YouTube video, I made a movie layout using the stork paper.  Here it is.

Movie time fun!

Movie time fun!

When buying this background paper I intended to use it as a newborn baby background.  Didn’t happen.  I decided to use it as a background for how much our family enjoys going to the movies after seeing the movie “Storks”.

I used the movie ticket from the movie “Storks” as the perfect ephemera.  I matted the ticket and pictures that we had taken of the kids at the movie “Angry Birds” that we all went to.  I journaled on a tag and then added some movie stickers.  I also added some cardstock tickets and wrote on them “Action”, “Comedy”, and “Animation”.  A fun page of something that our family partakes in a lot.

Thanks for taking a look!

God bless!
