This is my first Disney page from our day at Disney World. It is really one for Matthew’s album. It was VERY simple but oh so cute!
Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!
I think my buddy, Terri, got this sticker pack for me at a scrapbooker’s garage sale. It was either that or when I went with her to the huge garage sale a few years ago. I didn’t realize until we got home from Disney and looked at all the pictures, that I had an awesome page in the making.
All I did was mat the picture of Matthew hugging Buzz. I then attached it to the cardstock and added the Buzz Lightyear stickers. I realize that there are a lot of stickers but I just couldn’t quit putting them on the page. I also added the famous Buzz quote, “To infinity and beyond.” with alpha stickers. I had to change up a few stickers to make it work. I made small letter and capital “m”s into a “n”s. I also used a zero for an “o”.
Hope all is going well for all of you out there in cyber land. I am continuing on Matthew’s album. It is kind of nice to go back and forth between his album and Project Life. It seems that sometimes I am only scrapping Project Life and that saps a little bit of my creativity. That being said – I love the results. They are my husband’s favorite albums.
My sweet little man.
My hint for today is “you don’t have to make everything difficult”. Once I come up with an idea, some of the cutest pages don’t take long to execute.
This layout was uber easy. I used the paper that came in the scrapbook so it would match the previous layout. I matted the picture and adhered it to the page, covering the places that were made for the photos on the page. Then, I went and dug through all of my numbers (stickers and chipboards) and found threes that coordinated with the colors in the layout and were close to the same size. I staggered them down the page beside the photo, avoiding covering any of the stars.
That is all that I did and I love it.
Hope you find time for a layout today – even a quick one can be quite satisfying. 🙂
I am continuing on Matthew’s scrapbook. If you knew Matthew you would thing sweet, tenderhearted boy. We spend a lot of time together while his sister is at school and his parents are at work. He is a big chunk of my heart.
Part of the pictures from the professional photographers.
I am continuing to use the pages that came with the scrapbook. I am also continuing to make them my own. This page is almost the same but I expanded (and contracted) on the picture frames that they provided on the page. I had to trim down the pictures to make them fit on the page without overlapping on the stars. I also left a small blue border at the top. It did leave part of the page frame showing on the sides of the pictures. I took care of that situation by using corrugated cardboard paper strips on both sides of the pictures and in the middle (I used a smaller strip in the middle).
On the bottom of the page I put a die cut that I bought because I loved it so much. It starts out by saying “Oh glorious boys”. The colors matched the page perfectly. I then added a few star stickers that were provided with the scrapbook to the die cut and to the strip of cardboard in the middle of the pictures.
Fun, easy, and very cute page!
I have had this layout done for a few days but I haven’t had time to hop on the computer.
Part II of PL week 14.
Most of the pics are from Tim trying on the actual tux that he is going to wear to prom. He started with the pink/peach color vest but ended up changing it to silver. We weren’t quite sure that it was going to match Camila’s dress. I really did like the original color best but we just didn’t want it to clash. The silver looks very fetching, too. I wrote about all of this on the 3rd small PL card. I also added a cute plastic sticker.
The 4th small slot had one of Ben’s new business cards in it. I attached it to a PL card.
The last slot (large bottom right) is the wreath that I made for my friend Rosa before we visited her. She was very happy with it. 🙂
That is it for week 14.
Excited to be scrapping in April! I realize we are almost half way through May but I am making progress! And I have started my grandson’s scrapbook too so life is good!
Part I of PL week 14.
The first slot is Absey getting ready to go to school on picture day.
The far right top slot is Amber discovering her knife is magnetized while we were eating out. We were checking out all the other pieces of silverware. 🙂
The first small slot is my week 14 card. I have a whole bunch of 2014 stickers. I cut off the 14 and used them on a PL journaling card. I wrote about all the pictures on the card, too.
The second small slot is of a prolife license plate. I don’t think that I have seen one before. Stoked!
The third small slot is Matthew at the library.
The fourth small slot is a picture of a sign that says they are getting ready to build a Hobby Lobby here in Bluffton. Amazing!
The bottom left picture is actually two pictures put on one PL card. It is of Brad and I at the movie theater in Hilton Head. They have reclining chairs. It is so awesome!
The last slot is of Tim trying on his tux. Isn’t he handsome?
That is it for this page.
Last section of the week 13 layout.
The last part of week 13.
Most of the pictures are from Amber’s birthday party. It was Disney themed because most of her (and Ben’s) present was a Disney World ticket. I got some Disney photo booth cutouts. I have all of her family posing as a character. She was Goofy, Ben was Pluto, Matthew was Donald Duck, and Abby was Mickey. The cake was an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. It had Minnie on it. Really cute and yummy!
The bottom small slot and the bottom large right slot have one picture trimmed down and mounted on PL journaling cards. Above the large slot picture I wrote about the picture. It is of our driveway. We widened our driveway on both sides. It looks really good and it provides a walking path so that everyone isn’t continuously cutting through our yard. On the journaling card of the small slot I put a sticker of a house with a heart in the middle of it.
Week 13 is finally finished! Whew!
Part III of a busy week. We keep having these weeks. MY PL album is going to fill up quickly!
Third page of week 13.
The top three pictures are from Easter. The bottom left and right pictures are from when we met Brad for lunch and then we took Matthew to play at the park. The bottom two small pictures are two that one of Tim’s friends took of him at the skatepark. The second small slot is a PL journaling card. I wrote about all of the different pictures and I put a small cross sticker on the corner (the real reason for Easter).
That’s it for this part of the layout.
Another real quick PL layout created with grandkids running around.
Project Life week 13, part II.
All of the slots are filled with pictures. I didn’t add any journaling because I thought they were pretty obvious. I did add a sticker that says “Easter Morning” to the top picture.
The second and third small slots are one picture cut into two pieces so that it could be included.
I love the “Easter baskets” made from umbrellas. I found the umbrellas on a super clearance at Cracker Barrel. I saw the idea on Facebook. So fun!
Another big week for PL. First, I was brave and took the kids to the beach when all the other adults were working. It was just a sand day. That is becoming much more common than a water day at the beach. It is much easier for me to watch them by myself in the sand than in the water.
Besides the beach there was also Easter. But today’s layout is just the beach.
Project Life week 13 part 1.
This was a very simple page (other than eliminating pictures that I wanted on it). On the first picture of the ocean I put the clear disc with a gold 13 on it. I then put blue alpha stickers with the word “week” on it.
On the partial selfie of me and the beach in the background I wrote about the day with a Slick Writer. I love Slick Writers. It makes scrapping much more easy.
That is it for today!
I can finally say that I have finished week 12 of PL. It was a big ‘un.
PL week 12 part IV.
The top left pic is Matthew sleeping on the way home from the church Easter festival. The first small slot is both of the kids crashed on the couch after we got home.
The right large top slot is of my KS kids playing board games on the same day that we went egg hunting. All of my kids and grand kiddos were having a good Saturday.
The 2nd small slot is a PL journaling card. I wrote about all of the pictures, alternating colors.
The bottom left picture is Matthew sitting on a bench that my dad made. It had gotten broke during our move here. The bottom small slot shows the arm that was broken (we also found another broken board). We finally found someone to fix the bench. These pics were right before it was fixed.
The third small picture is of Matthew at the park in Pooler, GA. It is by the outlets which is right by Sam’s Club. Once in awhile we meet Brad for lunch, play at the park, and go to Sam’s.
The bottom right picture is of our blender. We have been making a lot of smoothies lately in our quest to get healthier. Brad drinks the most of them because they tend to be his breakfast on weekdays.
That is all for now. Next….week 13.
