I am trotting right along. Have 16 weeks left to go but trying to do them swiftly. Don’t want to get the New Year off too far behind.
Week 36 – part 1.
This is a two page layout because friends came to visit. I wanted to put as many pics as possible on one page so I put week 36 on a pics unused space. The top left pic is of my friends when we were eating out. The top right pic is of Brad and Thor trying out CRAZY hot sauces that they brought Brad. The first small pic is our friends with our granddaughter – she loves having their attention. The 2nd small pic is of diego in his new sombrero. The 3rd small pic is of our friends at the Wildlife Refuge. The 4th small pic is of Brad trying to handle the hot sauce. The bottom large slot on the left has two pics in it. They are adhered to a large PL card. They are of Brad and Thor posing with a manikin at GoodWill. I was in the background acting like I didn’t know them. The final slot is a PL card documenting what was going on in the pics.
Part two soon two follow.
It is a busy time of the year. Doing things in reverse now. Taking down the decorations. Trying to get the house in order with all the new gifts the family has unwrapped. Watching little ones that are off from school for another week….
Complete week 35 layout.
This is another layout that has pictures sent to me from others. The Week 35 card is a PL card with really cute alpha stickers. The top small slot is a picture of sunflowers that my KS bud sent to me. I love sunflowers! The top right photo is another one of my sweet nephew, Jep. They change so much at this age. I used a PL card that I wrote about the sunflower pic and put Jep’s name on with an arrow in the second small slot. The bottom left slot has a picture of my nieces (Jep’s sisters) wearing sister shirts and cowgirl boots. The picture was trimmed and put on a PL card. The 3rd small slot has a cutsie flower PL card. The bottom small slot has a PL journaling card that I wrote about the two bottom pictures on. I used alpha stickers to write out “sisters” and “Lily”. The bottom right picture is out of order (not sure of the exact date) but I wanted to use it. It is my sweet granddaughter, Lily, and her cat Louie.
Hope you are getting everything accomplished that you planned during this holiday!
Don’t think I will finish this up before the end of the year but trying to get as far as possible.
This is kind of an in between week. Not a lot going on in the Turner household but still managed a few snapshots (a couple sent from my sis-in-law). The top picture is what I see when I go wake up Tim for school. (Tim cuddling with Diego). The top right picture is a crazy spider that we almost ran into. The bottom left is a picture of my nephew Jep wearing a Cardinals jacket. He is holding a baseball bat rattle that we sent down. I put a cardinal brad on the PL journaling card. Finally, my favorite picture, a Kaylee (my sweet niece) selfie. Jill found it on her phone. I used PL cards down the center strip for journaling and for being cute.
That’s all folks. Kind of strange to have such a small layout but it is kind of nice, too.
Hello family, friends, and fellow scrappers,
We made it through another awesome Christmas! Closing in on the end of the year. New memories keep being made.
Finishing up on week 33. It didn’t end quite as well as it started.
Finishing page of week 33.
Poor little Absey broke her arm at her favorite playground on the monkey bars. The first small slot is the backside of a PL card I used on PL week 1. The second small slot has a folded PL card where I wrote all the details of poor Absey’s arm. I then have pictures of her xrays with an arrow pointing to the “buckle fracture”. Finally there is a picture of her with her arm in a sling (cast followed later). The top left picture is another from her first day of 1st grade. The bottom right picture is a little out of order but it is so cute I had to add it. It is a picture of my youngest granddaughter and her sweet kitty, Louie. The good news is Absey’s arm healed perfectly and she has been cast free for quite awhile.
God bless all of you!
Or should I say Merry Christmas eve? The big man comes to our house tonight. The little ones are so excited!
First part of PL week 33.
We had a fun start to our week 33. My brother-in-law and his family came for a visit and we went crabbing. We had someone take us out because none of us had ever done anything like that before. We ended up with 6 crabs big enough to eat. We took them home and cooked them and made crab dip out of them. Such a good time! Then….my Absey’s 2nd baby tooth fell out and she started to school the next day. She is a big girl in first grade now. Tim also started out as a junior on the 17th. No pictures for him. 🙁
I used PL cards and fun stickers (crabs, fishies, stars, and a perfect crayon sticker that says “Back to School”.
Fun and busy time of our lives!
God bless and Merry Christmas!
Hello Jolly People!
I am so excited to be able to post more PL layouts. I am so behind and each one feels like a victory. I really wanted to get caught up before the end of the year but it probably isn’t going to happen. But….I am getting closer. I also have a new PL album bought and ready for next year. 🙂
Complete PL 32 layout.
A strange layout. The first picture is Absey at the bench outside her school after enrolling. The first small pic is a really GROSS picture of my eye. I woke up to this right before returning from KS. I took a picture to show Brad and to document it in case it happened again. The second small slot is my week 32 PL journaling card. I wrote about all the pictures changing ink color for each picture. The first horizontal picture is a picture of a bathroom door on the way home from KS. Thought it was funny. The bottom two pics are of the kids at their favorite park right before school started. It is a beautiful park with a lot of equipment (new and old).
Kept this short and sweet (except the eye).
Wrapping up week 31. Only 21 more weeks of PL for the year. EGADS!
Part 2 of PL week 31.
In the top left small slot I put a PL card that I journaled on. I told about the different pictures. I used arrows and different colored ink to make it easier to see what I was talking about. In the second small slot I used part of the front page of a program from a play that Terri, Jaynean, and I went to. The top, large, vertical picture is of us “girls” getting ready to go into the play. We asked someone to take our picture together. We do this quite a bit when we are together and people are usually very nice. The bottom vertical picture is of Lily and I while we were in a shoe store. She ended up with a pair of light up shoes. 🙂 We took an “us”ie. I wrote about it on part of a PL card. I trimmed the card down and rounded the corners and attached it to the bottom of the picture. I also attached a cork sticker to the bottom of the PL card that says, “sweet thing”. The top horizontal picture is of Sami and I (barely in the picture) and Joe, Spencer, Presleigh, and Ethan getting ready to start a game of miniature golf. The bottom horizontal picture is of a girls craft, talk, and snack night. SO MUCH FUN!
Well, this week is complete. Now to rush through 21 more so I can be ready for 2016. Yiikes!
It is the most wonderful time of the year (did any of you sing that?). I just mailed my last package today. Now to wrap all the gifts for the home front. I only have a couple of odd and ends to buy. This year is a little easier than normal. Maybe this will be my new normal…..
Part one of PL week 31.
This page is all about a day that I spent in KS with my nephew Joe and his family (top left picture is Joe and his son) and my son Jake and his family. We went to All Star Sports. The picture in the top left slot is put on a PL card. I wrote who is in the picture on the bottom part of the PL card. I journaled on the picture (empty space) with a Slick Writer pen. *I recently bought more Slick Writers because they are so handy with PL. I write on a lot of pictures these days. I got a few more colors and replaced a few of the ones that were starting to give me trouble.* I also added a cute amusement park sticker on top of the picture.
The top small slot is a PL card that I put alpha and number stickers on to show that it is week 31. The remaining small slots are filled with my grandkids going down the large slide. In the top picture is Jake helping Lily getting ready to go down. I really like the middle slide picture. Ethan is “looking cool”.
The large picture on the top right has Jake, Annie, Lily, Sami, Presleigh, and Ethan. There are also cousins from Annie’s side of the family where I don’t know their names. I need to do better but my mind can only hold so much information. They are all on a ride (small roller coaster). The picture is on a PL card. I journaled above the picture and added a few more “amusement park” stickers. I have had these stickers for years and am thrilled to be using them.
The bottom left large slot has a picture of Spencer. He is gripping the stroller with his toes. I thought that was funny and had to capture it. I put a cardstock tag across the top of the picture. It says “Discover Fun”. I trimmed off all of the edges that hung over the photo. I think it turned out VERY cute!
Finally, the bottom right photo has a picture of Jake and Ethan riding in the bumper boats. What you can’t see is Lily with Annie in another bumper boat. Lily was trying to escape into the water. It was a little stressful. Now I can chuckle. Then I was trying to figure out how to help.
Over all we had a wonderful day! I really enjoyed reliving it. Have a ton more pictures that didn’t make the PL cut.
Hope everything is Holly Jolly in your life right now!
Week 30 is on one page. That is really how I wanted all of 2015 to be but there are some weeks that has so much fun happening.
Complete layout of PL week 30.
The first picture is of Tim at camp with the owner of Spitfire (skateboarding company). Tim was really excited to meet him. The top small slot has a PL journaling card. I adhered Tim’s bracelet (that he had to wear at camp all week) to the top of the card. I then journaled about both top pictures (changing color of writing when journaling about the different pictures). The right hand top picture is Tim and his friend Laura. They have known each other all of their lives. It takes a little while for them to warm up (because they see each other so infrequently now) but then they have a lot of fun. In this picture they are hanging out and being silly. I trimmed the picture down and adhered it to a lime green PL card. I put a 3-d sticker that says “vacation” across the top. I then put two smiley face sun stickers on the bottom. I journaled a little on the bottom of the PL card, too. The second small card is the week 30 card. I used a small PL card and alpha stickers.
On the bottom row is a picture of Tim riding in a vehicle with his sister and cousin. On the 3rd small card (a PL journaling card) I put a sticker that says “fly”. I wrote on the card how we flew back to KS and Tim went to visit his family in IA. The right large picture is Tim on a boat with RED hair. He and his cousin decided to dye his hair. He asked if he could use Kool Aid. I said yes because it wouldn’t last long. Well, that didn’t show up so they went and got actual dye. It did show up. 🙁 On the bottom small journaling card I wrote about how Tim goes boating almost every summer that he visits in IA. I also wrote about the RED hair. I put a sticker of a sunscreen bottle.
Well, that is all for week 30.
Hope you are having a Holly Jolly season!
