Another PL week is completed. I am moving right along. 🙂 I know that at least one of the pictures (baby Jep) is out of order but that is ok. I wanted it included and this was the first opportunity without adding a whole page for the one picture.
PL Week 27 layout.
The first picture is of me and Absey oohing and aahing over the fireworks. We found a good place to sit this year and it is close to home – bonus. I bought some glasses that made the fireworks really burst in the air. The first small slot is a PL American flag card. The second one is of my sweet nephew Jep. It was taken in June but I wanted to include it in my album so I did. 🙂 The second large slot on the top row is a PL card that I wrote “week 27” on and added some patriotic star stickers.
The bottom left large slot is of Ethan at the beach. His Great Uncle, Great Aunt, and cousin took him. Tim went also. They made Ethan into a merman. The next small slot is a PL card that I added a beachy sticker to. I then wrote about all the pictures. I changed ink color and used arrows for each different picture. The bottom small slot is a tag from a decorative page. I cut it out and rounded the corners. Life is beautiful! Finally, the bottom right slot is of my sweet Absey posing with a completed puzzle. We go through spurts of doing a lot of puzzles and then taking time off. I think puzzle time is quickly approaching now. I hope so at least! I put a sticker on the bottom of the picture that says “goodness”. What isn’t good about puzzle time with my sweet granddaughter?
Hope your life is going well!
Another PL post! This will mean I am finally 1/2 way through the year with PL. Not where I wanted to be but I am making progress.
Complete layout of PL week 26.
In the top left slot is a part of a brochure from the Tybee Island lighthouse. The complete lighthouse wouldn’t fit in the slot so I just put what would fit on a PL journaling card. I put it on the left side of the card so I could journal on the remaining portion. I put the week (26) and a lot of the things that we did when Tiara visited. I also put (in a different color of ink) that when she left Ethan flew in. What a summer we had!
In the two small slots on the top I put the wording from the front of the brochure adhered to small PL cards.
In the top right large slot I put the score card from mini golfing. I left it intact so that if someone wants to be reminded who won it can be pulled out. 🙂 (I didn’t).
On the bottom, the two large slots are of Tiara at the Hunting Island lighthouse. (We went to two different lighthouses).
The top small slot is of Tim skateboarding. The bottom small slot is of a dolphin when we went on a dolphin tour.
We had a crazy two weeks. We had a crazy two months, really.
Hope all of you are doing faboolous (that is on my granddaughter’s shirt – I told her today that I hoped she had a faboolous day at school). 🙂
I finally had some pictures for my PL album printed and I am off and running.
Complete layout of PL week 25.
This was a busy week when Tim’s sister came to visit. The first slot is when we took a carriage tour in downtown Savannah. The second slot on the top and the two middle small slots are of temporary tattoos that we had applied on the same day. The first small slot is the business card from the carriage tour that I put on a PL card. I added a few fun stickers. The last small slot is a PL summer card. I put week 25 with alpha stickers and I wrote “first day of” and an arrow pointing to summer since summer started during that week. The bottom two pics are of Tim and Tiara learning to paddle board. They learned that it was a lot of work but they were both successful. They also saw dolphins while they were on their paddle boards. In the second slot on the bottom row I combined two pictures of Tim and Tiara returning from paddle boarding. I used alpha stickers to put “paddle board” and their names. They did a lot more things but this page captured the essence of the busyness and fun of the week.
Now on to week 26.
God bless you and your families!
I got a handmade card in the mail today. From my fellow scrapper (and card maker), Terri. She has been stamping a lot more lately. 🙂
Fun surprise in the mail.
Terri used a variety of leaf stamps and used a variety of ink colors. She had some of the stamps be more dark with the ink and some with a lighter covering of ink. She added some glitter (probably my favorite thing) to hi-light the leaves. Finally she made a tag and used alpha stickers to spell out autumn. She tied floss on both ends of the tag and adhered it to the front of the card.
What I like best about homemade cards is that someone cares enough to spend their time making the card and then giving it away. Secondly, I often use them in my scrapbooks.
Hope your day is uber wonderful!
Today’s layout took two days because I had to let my background page dry before I could continue.
I found a plain piece of light blue cardstock. I wanted to add a little bit of pizzazz to this layout and do something I hadn’t done in awhile so I used the Perfect Pearls Mists and spritzed it over the light blue cardstock. I figured out where and what I wanted on the page and then let the page dry over night. I could have waited 30 minutes to an hour and then continued or I could have used the heat gun and dried it quickly. I decided to wait because my grandson was really wanting to help me. 🙂
I had a lot of pictures that I wanted on the page. Three I left full size and three I made small and square with my 2 1/2″ punch.
Checking out a different type of beach.
I used a premade journaling rectangle and added plastic lettering (alternating colors) that says “RUGGED”. I put gem photostickers on each side of the lettering. I then attached the journaling rectangle to the dried background page. I attached the large pictures and then added a “Hunting Island” tag below the title and slightly covering the top of one picture. Finally I added the three small photos. I wanted to leave a little of uncovered space to show the mist that I had sprayed on the cardstock.
Really like how it turned out.
Hope everything is awesome with you and yours!
