Today’s layout was a little messy and required some drying time but it was pretty easy otherwise.
Lily is awesome!
The background paper had the cute footprints on it – perfect for a baby layout. I then decided where I wanted the photo but didn’t adhere it yet because I didn’t want any glue to get on it. I then traced the name Lily with quick dry adhesive and placed twine on top of the adhesive and left plenty of drying time.
When I came back I added an enamel dot to the top of the “I”. I trimmed the extra background off the photo and adhered it to the page. I added a sticker that said,
“A baby will make
the past forgotten,
and the future
worth living for.
I also added a cute bunny in a stroller sticker.
Such a precious layout.
Another Project Life post.
Left side of PL week 43.
I made a small card for the top and bottom of the page that pointed at the pics and described what was happening in them. On the first little card I had about Ben getting his hair cut to get ready to get his business started, Matthew wearing my first pair of glasses, and Matthew riding in a police car at the outlets.
On the second card I had about Matthew waiting on his dad getting his hair cut, Absey helping me water plants, Absey and Matthew in a VW at a frozen yogurt business, and Week 43.
Right side of PL week 43.
The first little card in the middle said, “What I love about fall”. I put:
Buying Candy – eating it
Handing Out Candy
I also decorated it with acorns.
The second card I described what was happening in the pics. One of our fav easy meals – vegetarian tacos, Brad went to a conference in CA and ate pig, went to a pumpkin patch, decorated our front door (fourth small pocket has the picture), and decorated pumpkins.
The third small pocket has part of the brochure from the pumpkin patch we went to.
Complete layout of PL week 43.
Well, that is it for week 43 of 2014.
On today’s page I use the letter “L” for Lily. I wanted to have a monogram page in this scrapbook and I decided to do that today.
My cover girl pic of Lily.
I used a lot of fun elements on this page. I tore two different papers and adhered them for the matting of the picture and then adhered them to the background page. I then used a bingo card that says LOVE at the top. I put hearts across the card to make a bingo. After adhering that to the page I adhered my great big “L”. The last element I used was a cloth sticker mounted on a very thin piece of stamped wood. It says, “I love everything about YOU”.
Cute page – a lot going on.
Hope your day is wonderful!
I am trying to stay on top of Project Life with all the craziness in our household now. Four adults, one teen, and two kiddos. My plan is to always do Project Life (can’t quit now – almost finished) and to squeeze in as much scrapping as possible.
Now….on to Project Life:

In this 1/2 of the layout I have pics of our friends from CA that came (yes, drove) for a visit. We had a mini celebration for Laura’s 17th birthday. Tim made her a tie dye shirt. The top left pic is of the two of them together. Laura and Tim have been good buddies since Tim was born. Laura is just over a year older than Tim. The first mini pic is of poor Diego. He hurt his back. It really scared us because we had to put down our first beloved Dachshund because of back problems. We took Diego to the vet and it seems like he is going to be ok. Thank you, Lord! The other pics are of our friends and me at Hunting Island. There is also a pic of them on top of the lighthouse on the next page.

On this page it is more pics of our visit with our CA friends. We went into Savannah and tried out the Pie Society restaurant. They had meat pies and wonderful desserts. The pics on the right side of the layout is of my sweet Absey going to her first day of kindergarten here in SC. She has had a great start at this school.
Complete layout of PL week 42.
I am so thankful that I finished this. Hope to see you again tomorrow with a layout from sweet Lily’s album.
A quick post to show my latest Project Life layout – week 41. (How many weeks until Christmas? – AACCKK!).
Left side of PL week 41.
The first pic is of a restaurant/market that Brad and I just discovered. Really good home cooking. The pic right beside it is actually two pics. Tim and I were driving down the road and we saw this truck with a bunch of wire, wood, and bricks hanging out the back and about to fall into our path. I hurried and passed the crazy driver and Tim took pics because he couldn’t believe it. The bottom left pic is of Kaylee celebrating her 3rd birthday. Jill (her mama) sent me a pic. The right pic is of Tim skateboarding down the ramp of Ben and Amber’s moving truck. They are moving in with us for a little while. GRANDKID time! All of the little cards explain what is going on in the pics.
Right side of PL week 41.
The vertical pics are of Tim being silly. The top pic is of him posing like the sign above him that says, “no skateboarding”. In the bottom pic he looks like some guy from the 70s with his jean jacket and big glasses. The horizontal pic is of Absey swinging on the day that they arrived. I managed to get a week 41 card onto the layout.

Well, that is it for the day. Hope yours is turning out wonderful!
On today’s layout I used a play on words. There is a big teddy bear in the picture with my little granddaughter. I decided to make the title “A Bear-y Sweet Girl. But instead of spelling bear I put a picture of a teddy bear.
My bear y sweet granddaughter.
To make the layout I used a piece of decorative paper that came in the scrapbook I am using for my granddaughter. It had a great place to put a title above and below the picture. I used different pink decorative alpha stickers. I put hearts on either side of the word “girl” down below the picture. I then attached the picture without matting it. There really wasn’t any room to mat the picture without having it go over into the title area. To make the picture looked more finished added a light piece of decorative aluminum to just one corner of the picture. For some reason I couldn’t get the adhesive to stick so I attached it with three tiny pink brads. I also added the date using plastic letters and numbers.
Very cute layout for a very cute girl!
Today I am starting my youngest granddaughter’s scrapbook. It is not going to be scrapped chronologically but eventually I will put the pages that way. This layout is a very simple one. I punched a heart from the bottom left corner of my decorative cardstock paper I am using for the background. The heart that I punched out I covered in a layer of white lace – I only attached the lace on the ends. I then weaved two pieces of pink lace through the white lace I had already applied (attaching the pink lace at the ends). I adhered the lace covered heart to a slightly larger piece of paper and then attached the paper to the back of the decorative cardstock background paper.
I rounded the corner of the picture and then matted it. I rounded the corners of the mat and then attached it to the background paper. The only thing left was an awesome sticker that says, “children are LOVE made visible”. True.
My sweet Lily. Love her!
Hope your day is as sweet as this granddaughter of mine!
I am on a scrapbook high right now. I just finished an awesome layout.
Tim – skateboarding.
I really love this layout! I knew I wanted a chunky zipper and I knew that it was for a 12″x12″ album. I couldn’t find one at Walmart so I settled for the next size smaller. I adhered it to yellow cardstock (didn’t work so well) and then I turned the paper over and punched holes where I wanted to hand stitch the zipper on. It wasn’t real neat but I think the hand stitching added a lot to the layout. I’m not going to lie – it wasn’t easy to push the needle through the zipper and the cardstock. I don’t think I could have done it without punching the holes beforehand.
The back side of the hand sewn on zipper.
I wrapped both ends of the zipper onto the back of the page and sewed them down with the first/last stitches.
After the zipper was attached to the yellow cardstock I matted the photos and attached them to the cardstock. I then added the title using two different alpha stickers. I thought both of them showed a lot of movement. I then added a skateboard sticker that I have had for years. I attached the whole piece of cardstock with everything on it to a decorative piece of cardstock with a lot of arrows all over it.
I am just so thrilled with how this page turned out. When I go to KS in about three weeks, my friend Terri is going to have a zipper page, and we are going to create one or two together while making a You Tube video. I will eventually attach that video to this post. I will probably make another post that shows all the new zipper pages , too.
Well, that is it for now! Have a fabulous Wednesday and God bless!
Today I am catching you up on the daily life in the Turner household.
The top left pic is of Tim right after he woke up. He is holding a birthday card and Diego. The pic right beside it is of a really cute cake that his friend made him. Then the left small pic is Tim eating a hamburger and shake at Steak -n- Shake (his new favorite place to eat). The small pic right beside it is Ethan with a new guinea pig. I decorated the next small card with cake and candle stickers. I then wrote how Tim had celebrated his birthday already with the Twenty One Pilots concert in Orlando. I also said that Tim had school and work on the actual day BUT after work we let him pick a restaurant. He picked “Steak and Shake”. The bottom slot is of Tim’s birth date and how old he is. It is also of Ethan’s birthday and how old he is. Finally I customized a journaling card. I adhered a picture on it and trimmed around it. (It shows the Origami Owls goodies I received in the mail that I ordered from Carmela when she was here). I then wrote on the right side of the journaling card about the jewelry and about Ethan’s birthday.
Right side of PL week 40.
Almost all of the pics are of when Brad’s bro and his family visited us over the weekend. We went into Tybee and ate seafood.. This place had alligators that you could feed. The only pic that wasn’t from that restaurant was one that Ashlyn took of Diego. The journaling card I put “week 40” on. I wrote about the weekend and eating on Tybee and then taking an historic tour in Savannah.
Complete layout of PL Week 40.
Well, that is it for today.
Have a good one and God bless!
The final touch of the photo album is a collage page. These photos don’t tend to be quite as important but they still add a fun touch. Don’t be afraid to trim and cut on them a bit.
The final touch – a collage page.
I made sure that every space was filled. I then added a few stickers to finish off the page.
Thanks for stopping by!
