Project Life Week 23

Wow!  This year is flying!  Another week is documented and another week has been started.

The first picture is of my son being extremely silly at a Cracker Barrel.  We went to Charleston to an appointment and ate at Cracker Barrel on the way home.  Tim (being Tim) made an extremely funny face.  I had to take a picture.

If you look closely on the doorknob is a lizard.  They are everywhere in SC.  I almost grabbed this one.  I am so glad I didn’t.  I would have screamed.

The bottom two pics are of Tim on his last day of being a freshman.  I have enamel arrows pointing at him at the moving up ceremony.  He is officially a sophomore.  🙂

The two vertical pics are of my teeth, in the rear view mirror, and of my toes (my right foot).  This week I have been getting ready to go to KS for my sister’s memorial and to visit.  My brother and his beautiful wife and THREE daughters come (tomorrow!!!) for a visit and then we will be driving back together.  I got my teeth cleaned (supposed to be done last month but I was sick), my toes painted pink, and the gray washed out of my hair (no pic).  Now if I had only lost some weight.  Oh, well.  When I get back.

The bottom picture is of a huge bird (heron?) that Brad and I saw on Hilton Head.  We went to a different beach after one of his appointments and saw this bird.  It was very big.  We had to watch him for awhile (really don’t know if it is a male).

Well, that is week 23 in a nutshell.  That is kind of what PL is all about – a peek of your life.

Hope you and your loved ones are most excellent!

God bless!

Unforgettable

Hello friends,

Some moments in life are unforgettable.  You tuck them into the tender place of your heart.  Occasionally you think about them and cherish the memories.  Pictures of those moments are so special.  The day my two older sons were baptized is one of those unforgettable moments.

This layout is of my son, Ben, getting baptized by the youth pastor and the pastor of our church.  I found a piece of decorative paper that had a butterfly on it.  It reminded me of new life.  I used that for the background paper.  I trimmed down three photos and matted them on blue water paper.  I attached the two on the right side to the page.  The top picture I only attached on three sides.  The top I left open.  I did this so I could slip a tag, with the date stamped on it, into the top of the picture.  I did adhere the tag to the background paper.

I then found a pretty aqua doily.  I punched a piece of white paper with the circle punch the size of the inside of the doily.  I attached the white paper to the doily.  I adhered the doily to the bottom left portion of the page.  I then attached the last picture, covering the top 1/3 of the doily, to the page.  I then journaled on the doily.

Finally I added a jeweled cross sticker and a sticker that said, “Alleluia!”.

Ben is baptized!

I really love using doilies.  I love the aqua doilies (my favorite color).

Hope your day is wonderful!

God bless!

Project Life Week 22

Hi guys!

I have missed a few days but it feels like forever!  Today I wanted to update you on my Project Life layout for the week.

On the left side of the page the first picture is of a beautiful magnolia bloom.  Our wee tree is producing some beauties!

The next large card is where I showed what week it is for the year – week 22.

The small card says “Happy little life” and has room for journaling.  I wrote about the bloom and about how I volunteered at Tim’s school and they had pictures with wonderful sayings decorating the walls.  The two that I took pics of are, “It only takes one person to change your life – you.” and “The harder you work the luckier you get.”.  The final small card is a place for journaling.  I wrote how our friends came into town and then told how we took them alligator “hunting” at the reserve and we went on a segway tour.  That was a blast!  One thing checked off my bucket list.

The large pics are of all of us on our segways.  I trimmed Tim and my pics down to combine them into one slot.  I adhered them together to keep them from slipping.

The top small slot is of our tour guide, Amber.

The next two slots consists of one pic cut in half.  It is a light house on Hunting Island.  I attached the ticket that we got when we entered the park to the bottom light house picture.

The bottom small slot is of Brad and I on top of the light house.

We had such a fun time with our friends.  We had a lot of pics and only a few slots.  Eventually I will scrap them all – with my traditional scrapbook.  🙂

Hope your week has started wonderfully!

God bless!
